Lure Coursing Practices, Fun Matches and Other Events:

IF YOU RSVP'D TO THE JANUARY PRACTICE THAT WAS CANCELLED, YOU WILL NEED TO RSVP AGAIN TO THE FEBRUARY PRACTICE.
Cascade Coursing Club open (all breed) coursing practice will be held at Meadowbrook Farm Saturday, February 4th (rain or shine). NOTE: NO DAY OF PRACTICE SIGNUPS! All attendees must sign up by Thursday, February 2nd, 9:00 PM using the Doodle List system. This practice is limited to 45 dogs. You must enter each dog separately. Multiple dogs on one entry = not signed-up!
Please place the word NEW after any dog's name that has not practiced with CCC at one of their practices. This will enter your dog in the Orientation. We welcome all newcomers but please read carefully and take note: If your dog (any breed) has never practiced with CCC, we now require your one-time attendance at Orientation. This will take place at 9:30 AM, before regular practice begins. This brief but thorough class will help you and your dog form good habits and learn proper and safe etiquette for lure coursing. Your attendance at this class will help us run safer and more efficient practices. That way everyone has more fun! Your dog should be in fit, not "fluffy" condition and come to class with nails trimmed short. Too much weight and too long nails are both risky. Your dog may wear a flat buckle collar for practice purposes, but NO CHOKE OR PINCH COLLARS and ABSOLUTELY NO FLEXI LEADS. You may bring treats but please be careful not to spill out on the course. No bitches in season, please. The field is unfenced so if your dog does not have a good recall (i.e. comes reliably when called) we will show you how to train while on leash. No off leash playing allowed - this is very important for teaching focus on the task of chasing the lure. Crates or kennels in the car are wise and highly recommended. If you do decide to compete, your dog will need to learn to rest between runs.
FEES AND SCHEDULE:
Orientation: sign-in and pay by 9:00 AM, Orientation begins at 9:30 AM sharp. Fee: $5.00.
Lure Run Practice (all dogs): sign-in and pay by 9:30 AM. Practice consists of 2 runs per dog (non-consecutive), and cost is $5 field service fee (per vehicle), $5 for the first dog, and $3 for each additional dog. Lure Runs start at approximately 10:00 AM, as soon as the board is set.
REMEMBER: NO DAY OF PRACTICE SIGNUPS!
*CCC reserves the right to immediately excuse from practice any dog who does not have nice manners around others.*
