Coursing Aptitude Test
What is the CAT?
AKC's new Coursing Aptitude Test is open to all AKC registered dogs (including Sighthounds), FSS, ILPs, PALs and Canine Partners. It allows ALL dogs to discover the love of lure coursing!
For more information about the CAT program, visit AKC's website.

How do I train my dog for the CAT?
Attend one of our training practices to introduce your dogs to the sport of lure coursing and consult with knowledgeable lure coursing participants on how to best proceed in order to properly intensify their interest and focus on the lure and make sure they are physically fit for the job.
For more information about preparing your dog to take the CAT, contact CCC's CAT coordinator Gretchen Howell.
